These are fossils that I surface collected from the classic Ike's Canyon locality within the Antelope Valley formation of Nevada. Several trilobites and cephalopods are shown, although I have many other examples of the fauna that existed here. They are part of a large sponge dominated reef complex that locally existed here. The community is among the earliest examples of the widespread diversity that ensued during the beginning of the Ordovician Biodiversity Event, with many new genera appearing within the lower Middle Ordovician. I plan to add more photos that I have taken of the other fauna, so I will be updating this section.
